Honoring the Legacy of
Dr. Helen Fisher

It is with great respect that we honor the life and work of Dr. Helen E. Fisher, a pioneering biological anthropologist whose research forever changed our understanding of love. Known for her groundbreaking work on the brain's love circuitry, Dr. Fisher confirmed that love is hard-wired, fundamentally altering the way we view human connection.

Dr. Fisher's influential books, including "The Sex Contract: The Evolution of Human Behavior", "Anatomy of Love", and "Why We Love: The Nature and Chemistry of Romantic Love", explored the biological and evolutionary roots of love, sex, and attachment.

Her research has been particularly relevant in understanding +Positive Relationships, offering a scientific basis for the emotions and connections that define our most intimate bonds. Dr. Fisher's work continues to inspire those of us in the fields of psychosexual health and relationship studies, encouraging us to view love not just as a feeling, but as a vital, hard-wired part of our humanity.

We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Fisher's family, friends, and colleagues. We celebrate her life, her remarkable legacy, and the inspiration she has provided to researchers, clinicians, and individuals around the world. Her insights into love and relationships will continue to guide and inform our understanding for years to come.
Thank you for being a valued member of our community and for your ongoing dedication to promoting Sexual Health and Rights worldwide.

Warm regards,

The World Association for Sexual Health
