New Open Access Article to Celebrate WSHD

To commemorate World Sexual Health Day (WSHD), the International Journal of Sexual Health (IJSH), the official journal of WAS, is offering selected articles free to access from September 2nd to October 31st, 2024.

We are excited to feature a new article aligned with the WSHD theme: "Integrating Sexual Pleasure for Quality & Inclusive Comprehensive Sexuality Education" by Mark, K., Corona-Vargas, E., & Cruz, M. (2021).

This article, published in the International Journal of Sexual Health, 33(4), 555–564, explores the importance of incorporating sexual pleasure into sexuality education, emphasizing inclusivity and quality in educational practices. 

We encourage you to download and share this resource while it is available as open-access.

SJI Consultation in Brazil

At the XIX Brazilian Congress of Human Sexuality, WAS leaders and advocates convened for a pivotal consultation on the WAS Declaration on Sexual Justice.

Led by WAS Vice-president Alain Giami and SBRASH President Itor Finotelli Jr, the session focused on refining the Declaration with input from global stakeholders. Discussions centered on the intersection of sexual rights, social justice, and the systemic barriers that need addressing for true equality, with over 200 participants contributing their perspectives.
