Our collaborations aim to foster ownership and leadership in the generation and dissemination of knowledge at regional, national, and community levels.

In this inaugural episode, Bouchra Assarag, Director of the Hub, and Vincent De Brouwere, Editor of the French-language SRHM Journal, speak with Vanessa Sekpon, author of a compelling study on social norms surrounding abortion among young women in Benin. Together, they explore the influence of normative pressures, family dynamics, and the complex legal and social landscape surrounding access to safe abortion.

8th RHNK PAN AFRICAN ADOLESCENT AND YOUTH SRHR SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
 
SRHM was proud to partner with the Reproductive Health Network Kenya (RHNK) at the 8th Pan-African Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (AYSRHR) Conference, held in Mombasa from 24–27 June 2025.

SRHM and Reproductive Health Network Kenya (RHNK) co-hosted a side event panel discussion that was co-organised by SRHM, KELIN, ICRW Africa and RHNK, titled "Repositioning the Role of Evidence for SRHR in Today's Political and Development Context".

The session took place on 25 June 2025 and was moderated by
Allan Maleche, Executive Director of the Kenya Legal and Ethical Issues Network (KELIN).

In consultation with partners in the field of SRHR and abortion research, advocacy and policymaking from across the globe, we have identified priority topics which reflect strategic knowledge gaps and regional priorities. We are encouraging community members, researchers, policy makers, service providers and human rights advocates to submit articles, especially those addressing the priority areas.

The deadline for submissions to be considered for the special collection is 31 August 2025.
