Human Rights Day: Sexual Rights Are Human Rights

View this email in your browser
Dear WAS Members and Friends,

Today, on International Human Rights Day, we celebrate the universal principles of dignity, equality, and justice that underpin all human rights. Sexual rights are human rights, essential to achieving the highest attainable sexual health and well-being for all.

The WAS Declaration on Sexual Rights emphasizes the right to autonomy, bodily integrity, equality, and freedom from discrimination and violence. It reaffirms the importance of a positive, inclusive approach to sexuality and sexual health, rooted in human dignity and the principles of universal human rights.
As we reflect on this day, we call on leaders, communities, and individuals to uphold and protect these rights, ensuring a world where everyone can live free from harm, stigma, and inequality, and where sexual health and rights are respected, protected, and fulfilled.

Together, we can advance a future where human rights and sexual rights are realities for ALL.
