A recent Churchill Fellow, Lauren has explored First Nations sexual violence prevention and community healing through an intergenerational lens internationally.  Prof. Nicola Gavey The Kinsey Institute / University of Auckland (New Zealand) Prof. Nicola Gavey is a renowned scholar in the psychology of gender, power, and sexuality. Her current research critically examines the normalization of physical aggression within everyday sexual scripts—including acts such as choking and so-called "rough sex." As a keynote speaker at WAS 2025, she will challenge the narratives that shape sexual norms and call for a reimagining of consent and sexual justice in contemporary sexual cultures.
