Menopause affects half the world's population, yet remains largely unaddressed by health systems. It is a human rights issue, and there's a growing need for comprehensive care that supports individuals during menopause. Key considerations include: - Ensuring access to care for marginalized populations, including Black, Hispanic, and transgender individuals.
- Addressing menopause symptoms such as vaginal dryness, pain during intercourse, incontinence, and STIs.
- Providing holistic support for post-menopausal health, including reproductive options and cardiovascular care.
Menopause is not the end of sexuality or sexual health. We must advocate for services that provide non-discriminatory, targeted support throughout this stage of life. | | Gold Medal Award Nominations Deadline Extended | | | | The deadline for nominations for the WAS Gold Medal Award has been extended to 10th November 2024.
